Aaah now this is a subject that I debate over a lot. Which is the better moral choice? What makes you feel better?

So, let’s get to the meanings of karma and petty.

the meanings of karma and petty

Karma – the sum of a person’s actions in this and previous states of existence, viewed as deciding their fate in future existences.

What goes around comes around. What you put out you get back, whether is good or bad.

Petty – characterized by an undue concern for trivial matters, especially in a small-minded or spiteful way.

An eye for an eye. I’m going to get you back for what you did to me..

Well, I’m a person that believes in karma. I’m not a fan of petty. I’m more of a spiritual person that believes that what you put out will come back. I’m helpful and give kind words to people. I uplift them in hard times, and I will give you the shirt off my back if you need it. Of course, the world is not full of wonderful things but, I do remember when my kids were small, strangers would help me on the train and busses. I could be in a store, and someone would say don’t worry I got that. Referring to paying for my kid’s things.  I believe that it was because I’ve always helped other people the best way I could no matter who they are. Therefore, I feel that my actions brought me good karma.

If you do something to me, I don’t like, I would not stress it too long. I always say if they did that intentionally that’s their karma. I will continue to be blessed. Now the way I think about it is that bad karma doesn’t affect you the way you want or how you treated someone else. Bad karma comes back to you in the way that will affect you the most. Good karma blesses you in all ways that are needed in your life.

Sitting back and letting the laws of the world take over doesn’t make you a doormat. You get through what’s going on, you continue to live your life and the laws of the universe will work its magic.  Whatever I do I do from the heart. If it’s not in my heart to do it karma or not I won’t do it. But I do try to make the best decision not to affect my good karma.

Now here’s petty. It’s an act of revenge. People that I talk to that rather be petty are proud to be petty. It makes them feel good to know that they can see what happens to the person after they feel the person has done them wrong. To me….  I feel being petty is like someone living rent-free in your mind. While the other person is off doing whatever it is they do. Until boom! Your plan has been executed.  I hear people say if they cheat on me I’ll cheat back. This is a form of pettiness. Or, someone steals your parking spot and you flatten their tires. This one is the worse, feeding someone dog or cat food for revenge.

These types of behavior take time. it takes time out of your life to do something to someone that isn’t worth it. its so many other things I could be doing rather than making that type of plan and following it through. The question I have is, if all actions in this world have good or bad karma, by you doing this what type of karma did you create? I will rather be off living my life and when I look back, life has done its thang with you.

I know this blog may seem to be one-sided but I’m not petty. (lol) but, there’s many people that are. I would love to know are you a karma person or a petty person? I would love to hear your stories.
